Westside Group Home, Inc. & Lilly's Foster Home are uniquely focused on assisting and educating consumers so that they may live their lives as independently as possible. Providing compassionate care, we help to transition and assist our residents with implementing their individual plan. Both homes operate with supportive living assistance and that true family feeling that allows consumers to make their own choices and take ownership of their lives. We provide care for persons with developmental disabilities with medical needs. One to one care is available if necessary.
LOCATIONS: Located centrally on one acre of land in Bradenton (Manatee County), Westside Group Home has easy access to a vast selection of quality physicians, specialists and hospitals. The home is handicapped accessible, has a fire sprinkler system and is staffed 24 hours a day. Lilly’s Foster Home is located within two miles of the group home. This is convenient as the residents like to visit quite often.

With more than 52 trees, many of which are fruit trees, and a beautiful backyard pond the property is a scenic and serene setting. It is also home to many different bird species including Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Roseate Spoon Bills, Wood Storks and others. Our residents take great pleasure in feeding them and are educated about the wildlife that comes to visit and our commitment to help them. During certain seasons, residents also participate in maintaining our outside vegetable garden.
Activites: Our residents have an active community life participating in different activities every Saturday and every Sunday. They also attend major events in Bradenton, Sarasota, Tampa and Orlando areas. Past destinations include museums, musicals, lunch/dinner cruises, the circus, Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, the FL aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Mote Marine, Selby Garden, Ringling Museum of Art, Tampa Bay Performing Art Center, etc .

Diet: Meals are prepared according to a menu provided by an approved Registered Dietician. Food restrictions such as diabetic diets, pureed foods, thickened liquids are followed accordingly. Meals are homemade and provided 3 times daily. Residents have the option of purchasing their own snacks or individual preferences. We do educate our residents about making healthy food choices. 
Health: We educate our residents regarding their medications, reason for administration, side effects, etc. Medical appointments are monitored and scheduled accordingly. Caregivers are available to escort the residents to appointments if they choose.
Administration: Lilly Stokes, owner of Westside Group Home & Lilly's Foster Home and a Registered Nurse, has a long history of working in our community’s hospitals and has worked with people with developmental disabilities since 1994. Lilly has been a Medicaid Waiver Provider since 1996
Staff: Our compassionate and caring staff are thoroughly checked via local, FDLE and FBI background checks and personal and professional references. They are trained in the required areas such as CPR and First Aid. All staff are certified and validated in Medication Administration. Medication Administration and consumer medical needs are monitored daily by experienced and qualified staff. All of our caregivers are up to date with training requirements and some have their certified CNA or medical assistant licenses.
